Summary:3-Azido-4,6-diarylthienopyridines obtained from the corresponding 3-amino derivatives are convenient precursors in the synthesis of the peri -annulated heterocyclic system, benzo(furo,thieno)[ c ]thieno[2,3,4- i , j ]-2,7-naphthyridines. The spectral characteristics of the obtained compounds (IR, UV, NMR ( 1 H, 13 C, 1 H– 15 N gHMBC) spectra, luminescence spectra, mass spectra) were studied. Computational prediction of potential biological action has been performed.
