On an inverse problem for the Sturm-Liouville operator with degenerate boundary conditions

We consider the spectral problem generated by the Sturm-Liouville equation on the interval (0, π ) with degenerate boundary conditions. We derive sufficient conditions for an entire analytic function to be the characteristic determinant of this boundary value problem.
