Summary:Lithium borate glasses Li 2 O–MoO 3 –Al 2 O 3 –B 2 O 3 have been prepared and analyzed using some physical parameters such as the density, the molar volume, IR and UV spectroscopies along with ultrasonic an technique. The values of the optical band gap E g for indirect transition, and refractive index have been determined for different compositions of the amorphous glass and correlated with the results of FTIR, ultrasonic wave velocities and elastic moduli.
