Summary:In the present work, the copolymer of poly(methyl methacrylate-maleic anhydride) P(MMA-MAh)-based gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) with a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) filler were prepared. The results indicated that the prepared GPEs have better thermal stability, high ionic conductivity up to 3.79 × 10 −3  S cm −1 , excellent lithium ion transference number of 0.78, electrochemical stability potential of 5.0 V and fine compatibility with lithium electrode. All these results demonstrate the prepared GPEs possess the application probability in lithium ion batteries (LIBs).
