Conformational states and crystal structure of N-formylcytisine

N -Formylcytisine has been synthesized and characterized using 1 H NMR spectroscopy. Two conformers of N -formylcytisine have been found to exist in the DMSO- d 6 solution. The structure of the most stable conformer has been studied by means of X-ray diffraction analysis.
