The chemo-catalytic activity of metal/mixed metal oxides on hydrogen peroxide decomposition

The characteristics of metal oxides and mixed metal oxides of the types M 1O y and M 1M 2O x respectively towards H 2O 2 decomposition were assessed by catalyst composition and oxide calcination temperatures. Summary:The characteristics of metal oxides and mixed metal oxides of the types M 1O y and M 1M 2O x respectively towards H 2O 2 decomposition were assessed by catalyst composition and oxide calcination temperatures. Among these non-stoichiometric oxides investigated, the copper ferrite, Cu xFe 3−xO 4, is commended in the spinel types while Ag xO dominates the metal oxide category. But, this highly rated Ag xO is observed herein to be inferior to some spinel oxides whose activities depend on the calcination temperature.
