Summary:The utilization of poly(neutral red) modified carbon fiber microelectrodes for determination of neurotransmitters of dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine is proposed in this paper. This approach offers several advantages such as high sensitivity and determination of neurotransmitters in the presence of high concentrations of ascorbic acid. More importantly, this analytical process can be performed without deaeration, which is an important condition forin vivostudies.
