Summary:The incidence of lung cancer in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is much higher than that in general population. We report on a case of large cell carcinoma in association with the additional occurrence, seven months later, of an adenocarcinoma of the lung. Surgical treatment was performed for each cancer, however, the outcome was poor. The association between the two disorders is discussed.
