Stepwise cyclization of hydrazonoyl cyanides with isothiocyanates to 1,3,4-thiadiazolines

1,3,4-Thiadiazolines have been smoothly synthesized by a new stepwise cyclization of hydrazonoyl cyanides with isothiocyanates in the presence of NaH at 25 degrees C.
