Summary:This paper is based on a study of the problems homeless women face and their attempts at solving these problems. The investigation applied a quality of life framework which enabled the authors to identify the strengths and problems evident in seven life domains relevant to homeless women. The present paper examines the findings in light of several properties of home selected from the literature, asking of the data what it can tell us about the ‘homefulness’ of the respondents former and current housing arrangements.
