Preparation of Polyisoprene with Terminal Carboxyl Groups through Radical Polymerization
Isoprene prepolymers having carboxyl groups at both ends were obtained in about 30% yields by the solution polymerization of isoprene, using 4, 4′-azobis (4-cyanovaleric acid) as an initiator. Molecular weights of these prepolymers are 2000-3000 and numbers of carboxyl groups are 1.75-1.80 per one m...

Summary: | Isoprene prepolymers having carboxyl groups at both ends were obtained in about 30% yields by the solution polymerization of isoprene, using 4, 4′-azobis (4-cyanovaleric acid) as an initiator. Molecular weights of these prepolymers are 2000-3000 and numbers of carboxyl groups are 1.75-1.80 per one molecule. The reactivity of isoprene prepolymers having carboxyl groups with diisocyanates was also investigated. |
