Summary:Two new species belonging to the varius group of Coccophagus , C. breviclavulus sp. nov. and C. perlucidus sp. nov. , are described from Xishuangbanna Rainforest (China, Yunnan). Coccophagus anchoroides (Huang) and C. yunnana Wang, Huang & Polaszek are recorded. A tentative key to world species of this group is provided. Partial nuclear ribosomal 28S-D2 of these four species and other six species were sequenced and subjected to a phylogenetic analysis. Phylogeny of C. varius group is discussed.
