Summary: | The Raman spectra of several dicyclopentadienyl complexes Cp
2M of transition metals (M Mn, Cr, V, Ru, Os) are obtained in the solid and liquid states and are discussed together with the infrared data. The assignment of some Cp-vibrations is revised and a new assignment is proposed. The observed difference between the Raman spectra of the low temperature amber-brown form and the rose form of manganocene is considered as a manifestation of a possible equilibrium between two different isomers of the compound in its low-temperature form. |
