Synthesis of a novel bifunctional chelating agent for actinium complexation

A novel bifunctional chelating agent for actinium was synthesized in eight steps. Bimolecular cyclization between an iminodiester and a polyamine was achieved through the action of a molar equivalent of sodium methoxide.
