Summary:[Display omitted] •Three new iridoids, jatamanins V–X, were isolated from Valeriana jatamansi.•Jatamanins V and W were a pair of C-4 diastereomers.•All compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic effects against glioma stem cells. Three new 3,8-epoxy iridoids, jatamanins V–X (1-3), and three known ones (4-6), were obtained from the roots and rhizomes of Valeriana jatamansi. The structures of 1-3 were determined through their NMR and high-resolution mass spectroscopic analysis. Among them, compounds 1 and 2 were a pair of C-4 diastereomers. Additionally, all compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic effects against glioma stem cells.
