Summary:The dynamical behavior of two meteorological factors, i.e., rainfall and wind speed, is simulated and analyzed in the Pyeongchang region of the Korean peninsula. For our model, the variations in the rainfall and the wind speed are found via a multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis, which is useful for detecting the volatile and the chaotic properties in weather changes. We take into account the fact that the high-ranked station exhibits a richer multifractal feature from the multifractal strength. This may, in particular, be useful and effective in determining and establishing the locations of new automatic weather stations in a specific complicated region by using these two meteorological variables.
