In all, 20 such techniques are described in the chapter. The technics include Peacock's technic, Leston's technic, Rowell's technic, Bennett's technic and Clarke's technic. Marson's technic I and II, Bronskill's technic, Arnett's technic are also described. The Rowell's technic is recommended for clearing and mounting of insect exoskeletons. This technic is particularly useful for the preparation of the head, mouthparts, legs, and whole mounts of bees.
