Effect of immunotherapy on the kinetics of proliferation of a transplanted rat rhabdomyosarcoma

Summary:Our experiment confirms the effect of BCG and of neuraminidase (VCN) associated with mitomycine C (MitoC) treated tumoral cells on a rhabdomyosarcoma serially transplanted in a rat, which have been shown to prevent or to delay the growth of many experimental tumors and also prolonged the survival time of the animals. We have determined the effect of active immunotherapy on some kinetic parameters on the tumor growth. The NS 104 tumor may provide a tool to determine, whether this action of immunotherapy on resting cells is also true for other types of tumors.
