Summary:To the Editor: Renal transplantation is associated with an increased incidence of cancer. 1 In Case 4–1985 (Jan. 24 issue), 2 attention was drawn to malignant lymphomas in renal-transplant recipients, with special reference to the extranodal presentation. As discussed, in the majority of cases of lymphoma presenting with evidence of cardiac involvement, the disease is not limited to the heart but usually involves extracardiac sites as well. We would like to report on a 63-year-old man who had received a cadaveric renal transplant in 1970 and was admitted to the hospital in 1983 because of rapidly progressive congestive heart failure.
