Summary:The design and construction of a computer controlled machine for scanning and measuring in-line holograms. The equipment was designed for holograms produced in the bubble chamber HOBC used in the experiment NA25 at CERN. The choice of optical system and video camera tubes is discussed. The control system is described briefly. The problems of scanning and measuring charmed particle decays recorded on holographic film are discussed, and the errors in the measured spatial coordinates are considered.
