A novel deprotection of trichloroacetamide

[Display omitted] Deprotection of trichloroacetamide was carried out with Cs 2CO 3 in DMF or DMSO at 100 °C to afford an amine in good yield. A survey of the scope and limitations revealed the utility of the deprotection condition for various functionalized substrates.
