Ar II branching ratios for spectrometer response calibration in the near vacuum-UV

Branching ratios have been obtained for 35 Ar II lines in the wavelength range 160–230 nm by grating spectroscopy of a high-current hollow cathode discharge. The values are compared with theoretical calculations and partly with other experimental data.
