Summary:By depositing an array of ferromagnetic dysprosium wires on top of a high-mobility two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) we generate a one-dimensional periodic magnetic field with periods between a = 500nm and 1 μm, giving rise to magnetic commensurability oscillations of the magnetoresistance ρ xx. Here we study the commensurability oscillations as a function of the angle θ between the Dy wires and the Hall bar. For parallel orientation of the wires we find pronounced anomalies at intermediate magnetic fields which we ascribe to overlapping, modulation-broadened, Landau bands.
