Summary:The present paper acquires new optical solitons to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) which is investigated with third and fourth order dispersion terms. A modified form of Kudryashov approach is formally adopted to extract the exact analytical solutions of governing model. The constraint conditions for the existence of optical solitons in the case of Kerr law nonlinearity are also reported.
