Summary:Fused Deposition Modeling is a rapidly growing additive manufacturing technology due to its capability to form functional parts having complex geometry. The mechanical properties of the build part will depend on several parameters and build material of the printed specimen. The aim of this study is to characterize and optimize the parameters such as infill density and Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS) build material which is mixed with recycled ABS material. Tensile and three-point bending tests are carried out to determine the mechanical response characteristics of the printed specimen. Taguchi method is used for a number of experiments and Taguchi S/N ratio is utilized to recognize the set of parameters which give good results for particular response characteristics, the effectiveness of each parameter is investigated by using analysis of variance (ANOVA).
