Summary:11 × 11 × 3 mm3 and 4 × 4 pixel array CdZnTe (CZT) detector system based on the principle of CZT pixel array detector and correction algorithm has been established. The leakage current of CZT pixellated crystal is tested and analyzed. The pulse amplitude spectrum of the CZT detector has been measured using 137 Cs 662 keV Gamma source. The average energy resolution of pixellated detector system is 3.3% and full energy peak FWHM is 21.85 keV. The corrected algorithm of pulse-height is applied for improving spectroscopy response. The average energy resolution of corner pixels has been improved. The best energy resolution of pixels is 2.5% after correction. The energy resolution of the 4 × 4 pixellated CZT detector system is excellent. The spectrum performance of edge pixels is obvious improved by pulse-height correction. The resolution of edge pixels is improved efficiently.
