Ross broiler chicks were randomly allocated into 2 dietary treatments, 4 replicate groups of 40 chicks each for a 6-week feeding trial, including 0–3-week and 4–6-week period. Results showed that chicks fed a diet with FSBM had a greater average daily gain (P<0.05), average daily feed intake (P<0.05) than chicks with SBM in both periods; had a greater feed conversion (P<0.05) only in growing period. Compared with the SBM group, phosphorus, IgM content in serum of FSBM group were improved in whole stage (P<0.05), IgA level only increased in growing period (P<0.05), and urea nitrogen content of serum was reduced (P<0.01) dramatically both in growing and in finishing periods. |
