Summary:A central air conditioning system based on low-grade energy-bus is studied, which adopts a highly efficient water-cooled air conditioner combined with heat pipe and a bus-type water loop. Low-grade energy is used as the cold or heat source of the system, and heat recovery and utilization in the inner and outer zones is realized. Taking an office building as the object, the operating characteristics of the system are simulated. The results show that in inner zones, the average coefficient of performance (COP) of the heat pipe composite units is 5.88; in outer zones, the cooling COP of the heat pipe composite units is 3.65 and the mean heating COP is 3.58. It shows the operating performance of the air conditioning system based on energy-bus is efficient and reliable.
