Summary:ITSPECT is a custom software package developed exclusively for elastic recoil detection (ERD) spectrum analysis of both H and D for incident He with energy ranging from 0.25MeV to 8.0MeV. ITSPECT simulates a spectrum for a given experimental setup and a composition model defined by the sample under test. The user can input multiple heterogeneous layers of variable thickness. Each layer can consist of up to two compounds defined by their respective stopping power tables. Complex hydrogen concentration depth profiles can be defined for each layer. The simulator integrates the yield over the finite detector solid angle and simulates spectra for both transmission and glancing angle geometries using analytical cross sections and user defined stopping power tables.
