Summary: | MoSe2 hold great performance potential because of its large specific surface area, quantum confinement effect and Graphene-like structure. In this review, the research progress of different preparation methods (including Mechanical stripping, Intercalation stripping, Chemical vapor deposition, Hydrothermal) of MoSe2 and its composites have been discussed. Its application status in many fields have also been covered, such as photoelectric, hydrogen evolution reaction, battery and capacitor. In addition, in the application of biology, water decomposition and low thermal conductivity materials were briefly introduced.
