Summary:The development, installation and commissioning of a compact neutron focussing device has recently been completed on the SXD single crystal diffractometer at ISIS. Such devices provide a relatively inexpensive method of significantly increasing the long wavelength neutron flux available for small samples, such as those often used on SXD, without significantly disturbing the existing beamline infrastructure. This paper will discuss the measured performance of the existing device. In addition, the development of further focussing devices suitable for the ISIS instrument suite will be discussed.
