Syntheses, structures and properties of magnetically active copper(II) compounds with 3-amino-5-(4-methylphenyl)isoxazole

New coordination compounds of copper(II) with 3-amino-5-(4-methylphenyl)isoxazole (L) of the following composition: [CuL4Cl]Cl (I), [CuL4(NO3)2] (II) and [CuL3SO4] (III), have been synthesized. The compounds have been investigated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, electronic and IR spectroscopy,...

Summary:New coordination compounds of copper(II) with 3-amino-5-(4-methylphenyl)isoxazole (L) of the following composition: [CuL4Cl]Cl (I), [CuL4(NO3)2] (II) and [CuL3SO4] (III), have been synthesized. The compounds have been investigated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, electronic and IR spectroscopy, static magnetic susceptibility measurements. Exchange interactions between the unpaired electrons of copper(II) have a different character depending on the composition of the complexes. [Display omitted] Novel copper(II) coordination compounds with 3-amino-5-(4-methylphenyl)isoxazole (L) such as [CuL4Cl]Cl (I), [CuL4(NO3)2] (II) and [CuL3SO4] (III), have been synthesized. The compounds have been investigated by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction, UV–Vis and IR spectroscopy, and static magnetic susceptibility measurements. The exchange interactions between unpaired electrons in copper(II) exhibit different character depending on the composition of the complexes.
