Summary: | Concrete is the most common material used in buildings and its performance is improving. The plant-growing concrete was developed for conveniently greening. The plant species to able to grow in the plant-growing concrete was few. The habitat of plants grown in the plant-growing concrete is very similar to Karst soil environment. The plants of adaptability to Karst were adapted to the Karst stresses of high calcium and pH, low nutrition and drought. The plant-growing concrete combined with the plants of adaptability to Karst can apply in ecological slope protection, roads and roofs greening, and vertical greening. The vertical greening by the plant-growing concrete combined with the plants of adaptability to Karst will enlarge the green areas, beautify the cities and increasing landscape diversity. |
