Optical Design for a Double Level Rewritable Phase Change Disc

We propose solutions for the design of a two recording level phase change erasable optical disc. The feasibility of such a medium was examined from various angle: recording possibility, material aspect and readability. Some particular configurations are believed to prevent level intermodulation.
