L X-ray intensity ratios for elements in the range 74⩽ Z⩽92 at 31.635 keV

The L shell X-ray intensity ratios IL 1/IL α, IL β/IL α and IL γ/IL α for W, Au, Hg, Tl, Pb, Bi, Th and U have been measured at excitation energy of 31.635 keV. A comparison is made of the experimental results with calculated values obtained using theoretical X-ray emission rates, subshell ionizatio...

Summary:The L shell X-ray intensity ratios IL 1/IL α, IL β/IL α and IL γ/IL α for W, Au, Hg, Tl, Pb, Bi, Th and U have been measured at excitation energy of 31.635 keV. A comparison is made of the experimental results with calculated values obtained using theoretical X-ray emission rates, subshell ionization cross-sections, subshell fluorescence yields and Coster–Kronig transition probabilities. A good agreement is observed between experimental and theoretical values.
