Summary:This investigation focuses on the asynchronous H∞ control of interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy networked systems under hybrid attacks employing a novel, improved event-triggered scheme. An IT2 fuzzy model is proposed to represent the nonlinear system with external disturbances and parametric uncertainties. A new hybrid attack involving two popular attacks-denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and deception attacks is taken into account simultaneously in communication networks. In order to satisfy the Bernoulli distribution, a hybrid attack was developed as a stochastic random variable. To improve communication, a novel event-triggered scheme is used, which significantly reduces the amount of network data transmission and protects communication resources in the presence of hybrid attacks. In addition, sufficient conditions are derived to ensure that the closed-loop system achieves the specified H∞ performance using the Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality technique. To demonstrate the proposed control technique, an application example of the mass-spring-damper mechanical system is presented.
