Mol­ecules of the title compound, C17H16O4, form a chain along the c axis viaπ–π stacking inter­actions involving neighboring aromatic rings. The chains are linked through inter­molecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, resulting in a zigzag packing arrangement.
