Summary:In this letter, a power divider (PD) based on vertically installed planar (VIP) circuit structure is proposed for ultrabroadband applications. The even-odd mode analysis method is adopted to analyze the whole structure. The simulated and measured results demonstrate that the proposed PD exhibits excellent performances in the frequency band of 3-12 GHz. The return loss of the input port is better than 19 dB, the isolation between two output ports is more than 14 dB, and the amplitude and phase imbalance are less than 0.3 dB and 1.7°, respectively.
