Summary:Unlike industrial products which can be produced continuously at a constant rate, agricultural goods can be produced only once/twice a year. Hence, there is a definite need for modern, scientific and efficient storage facility. It is the management problem showered with multiple objectives for the economic progress of a nation. A case-study has been undertaken and is formulated into a general mathematical modelling via Goal Programming. Specifically, the model considers the major objectives of efficient storage, optimal utilization of the produce, upliftment of poverty from farmers, market stabilization and also helping the industrialists as well. This model not only helps to facilitate decision-making and planning by providing a prior management information, but also shows the potentiality of Goal Programming in Agriculture Planning.
