Summary:The dynamic response of surface-stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystals with chevron layer structure to a triangular wave voltage is studied based on the continuum theory. From systematic numerical calculations, the shape of polarization reversal current is found to be crucially affected by the surface-anchoring condition, and the frequency and the amplitude of applied voltages. The theoretical results are confirmed through comparison with the experimental results.
