Summary: | This work is based on the lives of a father and his daughter. The father is represented through work and development of large-scale dam building projects in Queensland, Australia. The dam building and the associated changes to landscape and environment are echoed in the distancing that develops between father and daughter. The father is known through his reputation in the workplace, a reputation written down in workplace gazettes and formal documents. Three Moon Creek describes a mastery of the landscape and the masculinist and development discourses that enable it and the sense of destruction felt in the daughter's observations. |
