Summary:The influence of the multiple scattering on radiation of ultrarelativistic electrons in a thin layer of substance has been considered. Quantitative results concerning the coherent radiation suppression in a thin crystal, analogous to the Landau-Pomeranchuk effect of bremsstrahlung suppression in amorphous medium, have been obtained by computer simulation. They indicate that the effect could already be observed for electron energies of 10 GeV.
