Summary: | The effects of the repeller voltage and shield voltage on the ionization potential and appearance potential measurements using a CEC21-103C mass spectrometer have been investigated. Taking the effects into consideration, the ionization potentials and appearance potentials of various ions from some halogenotoluenes were measured. The obtained values agree reasonably well with the literature values. |
