Summary:Stereotypes relating to problems of women workers include: competency of Ms, fear of success, license for sexual harassment, overprotection, physical & occupational job standards, & role definition/prescription. The relation of these stereotypes to the socialization factors of supervisory treatment, coworker relations, & job satisfaction is explored through questionnaire data from 1,736 Air Force enlisted women serving in 8 formerly all-M craft skills. Fairly strong relationships were found between role stereotypes & work socialization. 5 Tables, 1 Figure. W. H. Stoddard.
