Summary:A study was carried out on synthesized mixed-phase nickel-chromium double oxides. A relationship was found between the composition and structural properties of these double oxides and the Ni 2+ /Co 3+ cation ratio in their hydroxide precursors. A study was carried out on the products of the transformation of heavy oil in the presence of Ni-Cr double oxides at 380°C and 23 MPa pressure in an excess of hydrothermal fluid. Liquid absorption chromatography was used to show the effect of these oxides on the change in the composition of saturated and aromatic hydrocarbons, resins and asphaltenes.
