Summary:— The problem of evaluating the load-carrying capability of composite structures of spacecraft has been considered in this paper. It has been shown that traditional methods of determining the load-carrying capability of structures are applicable only to a limited extent in this case: only for the elements within an integrated structure. The coincidence of the calculated and observed values of the lower tones of natural frequencies has been proposed as an additional indicator of the load-carrying capability of a composite structure. The sufficiency of this approach for the autonomous assessment of the load-carrying capability of the elements of composite structures during the incoming inspection and the technical feasibility of its implementation have been substantiated.
