A simulation study of the effect of some parameters in thermal analysis of creep feed grinding

Summary:Creep feed grinding is a process that allows a higher removal rate of material when compared to surface grinding. The risk of thermal damage is also present in creep feed grinding and must be avoided. In this work the influence of some parameters on the temperature distribution was studied. The operating conditions that depend on the operation mode or grinding wheel were chosen in order to avoid thermal damage to the workpiece. Some operating conditions could not be changed since they were inherent to the materials to be ground.
