Summary:Uranium-bearing coal and lignite is characterized by elevated oxidation, with the development of degraded fusinite and other components. The coal contains calcium-magnesium ash, and correspondingly the organic system is of high-carbonate type. The oxygen activity is specified by the basicity of the medium and is a fundamental characteristic of the organic system. Functional relations between the fusinization of the organic matter and the basicity of the medium are derived.
