LANTHANIDE-TUNGSTEN HETEROBIMETALLIC COMPLEXES VIA SIGMA-BOND METATHESIS
Reactions of [{Ln(C(5)Me(5))(2)H}(2)] (Ln = Y, Sm) with [W(C5H5)(2)H-2] afford the sigma-bond metathesis products [(C(5)Me(5))(2)Ln(mu-eta(1), eta(5)-C5H4)(mu-H)(2)W(C5H5)], via dehydrocoupling between the Ln-H bond and the C-H (but not the weaker W-H) bond of [W(C5H5)(2)H-2].
