Summary:The methodological problems of the specified multiobjective strength analysis of constructions and buildings based on the parameters of the life of the load-carrying capacity, survivability, reliability, residual life, and energy catastrophe are considered on the basis of the investigation of laws and mathematical simulations of the processes of postcritical deformation. The mechanics of the steadystate postcritical deformation are analyzed. The significance of considering the properties of the loading systems, introduced into the problem statement by virtue of special boundary conditions of the contact type, is noted. The stabilizing role of fairly rigid loading systems, and the possibility of utilizing the load-bearing capacity of the deformable systems due to the creation of conditions for steady-state strain softening, are demonstrated.
